“Game over for the International Criminal Court?”
10. aprill kell 17:00 - 18:30

🌍 We are excited to invite all of you who are passionate about international law to an exclusive student event, organised in collaboration by the Estonian Law Students’ Union and the Master’s Programme in International Law and Human Rights, with Kerli Veski, Undersecretary for Legal and Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 🧳
As Ukraine enters the fourth year of war, the talk will center on the challenges faced by the International Criminal Court (ICC) regarding ongoing proceedings concerning Ukraine and Palestine. This will include key issues such as the pursuit of accountability for war crimes, selective cooperation by powerful states, and the broader implications of geopolitical dynamics. 🇺🇦👨🏻⚖️
🗣️ Kerli Veski has been in Estonian foreign service since 2000 and has over 20 years of experience in diplomacy and international relations and extensive knowledge in public international law, including state responsibility, accountability for international crimes and international law in cyberspace, consular and diplomatic law. Ms Veski is chair of the Committee of Legal Advisers on Public International Law (CAHDI) at the Council of Europe and the state agent for the International Court of Justice.
