How do these two fundamental legal documents compare? Why has the U.S. Constitution remained in force for over 230 years, and is the Estonian constitution equally prepared to face today\u2019s challenges? How do courts\u2019 decisions shape the constitutions? Are they dictated by legal merit or politics? Join us for a compelling discussion on constitutional law, where Brian C. Kalt and Hent Kalmo will analyze these legal frameworks, their historical and philosophical foundations, and their role in shaping modern societies.<\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83d\udde3\ufe0f <\/span>Brian C. Kalt <\/b>is a legal scholar and professor at Michigan State University College of Law. He holds a J.D. from Yale and an A.B. from the University of Michigan. His research focuses on constitutional law, presidential powers, and legal history, particularly constitutional crises and legal loopholes.<\/span><\/p>\n

\ud83d\udde3\ufe0f<\/span> Hent Kalmo<\/b> is a Legal Adviser to the President of Estonia. He has an A.B. from the University of Tartu and two LL.M. degrees, one from Paris X-Nanterre and another from Harvard. He specializes in constitutional law, legal philosophy, and international law, offering valuable insights into Estonia\u2019s legal and political landscape.<\/span><\/p>\n
